Headquarters Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a resource that offers free, confidential evaluation and short-term counseling, education, and referral services to Headquarters civil service employees and their families.   Professional counselors assist employees and their families with problems that can adversely affect work and personal life. Often, employees find it useful to talk to a counselor who can provide objective feedback and a different perspective.  An EAP counselor is available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.  EAP services are provided by Federal Occupational Health, using licensed and certified staff from COPE, Inc.  The COPE, Inc. website offers information concerning Workplace and Employee Assistance, and includes informative articles, contact information, and a "news" section.
