Influenza Campaign

2009 – 2010 SEASONAL FLU SHOTS

Date:  Monday-Friday, October 5th through 23rd and Tuesdays – Thursdays, October 27th through December 31st
Time: 1-3 pm
Location: Health Unit, CD70

The NASA Headquarters Health Unit conducts an influenza campaign annually. The flu is a seasonally occurring respiratory illness that can be transmitted from person to person. The single best way to protect against influenza is to get a flu shot. October and November are the best months to get vaccinated, and it usually takes about 2 weeks after the shot for the body to develop immunity.

Flu shots will be available to Headquarters civil service employees, on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last. No appointment is necessary.
