NASA Headquarters Blood Drive- Now You Can Schedule Your Own Appointment
Date: December 10, 2009
Time: 7:30 am-1:30 pm
Location: MIC 6
There is always a need for blood transfusions in the United States. With your help, the Red Cross can continue to meet these needs every day. By hosting a blood drive at NASA Headquarters, we are providing essential support to blood recipients right here in our local community. Most of us will need a blood transfusion at some point in our lives. That means you or your family, friends and co-workers might need the support of volunteer blood donors. In an effort to make the life-saving gesture of donating blood even easier, the Greater Chesapeake & Potomac American Red Cross Region has developed an online scheduling tool that replaces the paper based schedule and allows donors to schedule their own appointments. This new tool will make scheduling your next appointment as easy as "point and click!" No need to leave your desk or pick up the telephone, you can schedule your life-saving appointment online. Not only is the online tool convenient, it also sends an automatic reminder, 48 hours before the blood drive, to remind you of your appointment.
To schedule an appointment for the next NASA Headquarters Blood Drive follow these simple steps:
- Go to https://www.membersforlife.org/rccm/bdc/login.php
- Click on “Donors Log in Here” and fill in the required fields. Note: the Sponsor Code is 6543, then click on “login”.
- Fill out the donor information requested, and click on “Save Profile”.
- Once you get the “your account has been created successfully” message, go to the bottom of the screen and select “Continue to Blood Drive”.
- The screen will list the NASA Blood Drive dates and times. Click on a date, and choose any of the “available” time slots.
If you need further assistance with scheduling your appointment, contact the Health Unit at 358-2600 or Cherie Zieschang at 358-1569.
