Toni Dawsey, OIM Assistant Administrator for the Office of Human Capital Management, in her keynote address as guest speaker at the 2007 HQ Administrative Professional Awards presentation rightfully stated:

• They realize they are part of a team - whether Agency, Directorate, Center, organization, program or project - and that all members need to do their part for the success of that team
• When they see a problem, they find a solution
• They see outside the box - they don't let a position description define who they are or what their work is
• They are self-directed, they don't wait to be told what needs to be done
• They are always looking for ways to improve themselves, the work, or the organization
• They are responsible and they are reliable
• And those of you who also do it with a smile and a customer friendly attitude - it's icing on the cake!"
